Lake Pine Days
Lake Pine Days - September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd- 3 fun days filled with our Lake Pine families and friends. We have the East meets West baseball game, sand castle contest, pet contest, water events, canoe orienteering, a parade and a carnival for kids of all ages.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1:
Time TBA – EAST VS. WEST SOFTBALL GAME
As part of the 3 day Lake Pine Days festival, the annual adult softball game will be held TBA, Saturday, September 1st at the Lake Pine Colony Club ball field. The Western team consists of those living on Taunton Blvd. and Pine Blvd. The Eastern team is composed of the residents on the east side of the lake. Last year we had a great time!!! Homeowners came to play or just watch. Many of the residents hadn’t played ball in years but found they could still compete -- or just have a good time watching the game. Come early and bring your glove!
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2:
Time TBA – SANDCASTLE BUILDING
Come to South Beach to build a sandcastle. Children will be divided into age groups to build a sandcastle out of materials found on the beach. Bring a pail, a sand shovel, some cups, and other sandcastle building materials. This is a fun event. Coffee and donuts will be provided for the watchers.
Time TBA – WATER SPORTS
What fun on West Beach! Children of all ages will swim, kick, jump and dive. It is as much fun to watch as for the children to participate. Children do not need to know how to swim as they can use kickboards.
Time TBA – ORIENTEERING
Bring your canoe, raft, kayak or inner tube and join us in finding clues hidden around the lake. You will receive a map (wet-proof) and have fun competing or just lazily going around the lake.
Time TBA – SETTING UP
Labor Day is the next day and we need to set up tents, games, and tables. If we have a number of hands, it will go fast.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3:
Time TBA – LABOR DAY PARADE
This is a small-town, old-fashioned, and fun parade. Fire trucks, police cars, Miss Lake Pine, Miss Lake Pine, Jr., bands and a float! Yes, a float with high drama. Watch the parade along Taunton Blvd. and then enjoy the float in front of the Lake Pine clubhouse.
Time TBA – CARNIVAL!
Games, prizes, bands and food! We are looking for sponsors so one or two of the bounce games will be free. A very inexpensive wonderful way to spend Labor Day with your neighbors! This is really fun for everyone. If you have been before, you know it. If not, you will be thrilled to be part of history as this is our 70th year of Lake Pine Days.
